We’re back with another event in the Bay Area! Join Berkeley Flea Market on March 30th and 31st as we celebrate all of our wonderful vendors for Vendor Appreciation Day!
Here’s to a great day of wonderful events featuring City representatives, BART, and other community leaders. We will also enjoy artist performances from the Bay Area Drum Circle, Bay Area’s own KJ Focus, World Renowned Poet Avotcja, and more.

10am-12pm — A Berkeley Flea Market warm welcome and a moment to reminisce on the history of Berkeley Flea Market.
12pm – 1pm — BART and City of Berkeley Representatives speak on the current and future development plans of the Ashby BART lot where the Berkeley Flea Market currently resides. City candidates running for office to speak on the Berkeley Flea Market and its impact to the community. Flea Market
2pm to 3pm (Saturday) —
Poetry sessions by Avotcja and Poet Ras Mo
Ras Mo is an award winning artist form Dominica, a Caribbean island. He is a pioneer in performance poetry who writes and performs his work in English and French Creole. His music is Afro Caribbean & Creole music.
Avotcja has been published in English & Spanish in the USA, Mexico & Europe, and in more Anthologies than she remembers. She is an award winning Poet & multi-instrumentalist who has opened for Betty Carter in New York City, Peru’s Susana Baca at San Francisco’s Encuentro Popular & Cuba’s Gema y Pável, played with Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Bobi & Luis Cespedes, John Handy, Sonido Afro Latina, Dimensions Dance Theater, Black Poets With Attitudes, and many more.

A jazz performance by KJ Focus and the Bay Area Allstars
KJ Focus born Kalin Freeman, is an American musician saxophonist, producer, and song writer.
The Oakland native has made his name in the industry by showcasing his talent within the many genres of music. Confidently crossing the playing fields of R&B, Neo-Soul, Jazz, Hip hop, reggae, Latin and Tribal.

Enjoy music throughout the day with our live international DJ AL pumping up the atmosphere with excellent music from the past 3 decades. DJ AL Born in San Francisco and Former resident DJ for Soul Train Tokyo,, Japan, Miss Universe, and World Cup. DJ AL provides his audience with Classic Dance, Jazz, Reggae, R&B and Hip-Hop.
